Warranty Policy

Version 5 Last updated 6 August 2026

Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to MotR Secure hardware supplied to consumers in the UK. It explains the commercial warranty MotR intends to provide and confirms that your statutory rights are unaffected.

Warranty duration — owner confirmation required

MotR currently intends to provide a 24-month commercial hardware warranty, subject to final product and supplier confirmation. The exact warranty duration has not yet been confirmed by the owner. Until confirmed, the warranty duration should be treated as pending and will be finalised before any MotR Secure hardware is sold to consumers. WARRANTY DURATION — OWNER CONFIRMATION REQUIRED.

What the commercial warranty covers

Subject to confirmation of the duration above, MotR's commercial warranty is intended to cover the tracker against manufacturing defects for the warranty period from the date of activation. We intend to repair or replace a device that develops a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, at no cost to you, subject to the exclusions below and our claims process.

Exclusions

The commercial warranty is intended not to cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, accident, fair wear and tear, fire, water damage (unless the device is rated for it), or third-party acts. This list is not exhaustive.

How to claim

To make a warranty claim, contact Support with your order details and a description of the fault. We may ask for the device to be returned or inspected. This claims process will be finalised before launch.

Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected

This commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a statutory remedy — which can include rejection (a full refund), repair, replacement or a price reduction — depending on the circumstances and the time since purchase. These statutory rights are not limited by the length of this commercial warranty and do not end when the warranty period ends. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your statutory rights.

Rejection within a short period

If a fault is present or develops within a short period of ownership, you may have the right to reject the goods and receive a full refund rather than relying on the warranty. Installed or used status may affect change-of-mind cancellation and the value of any refund, but it does not remove your statutory rights for faulty goods.
