How long we keep your information
MotR keeps personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
Retention periods
- Account data — kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Vehicle lookup data — retained to provide your history and reminders for the life of your account, then deleted.
- MotR Secure location and journey data — kept for up to 24 months, then automatically removed.
- MotR Fleet data — retained for the term of the fleet agreement and a reasonable period after, as agreed with the fleet customer and required by law.
- Payment records — kept for up to 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Support tickets — kept for up to 24 months after resolution.
- Server logs — retained for up to 12 months for security and troubleshooting.
Deletion
When retention periods end, we delete information securely or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before deletion.
Your rights
You can request earlier deletion of certain data, subject to legal obligations. See our GDPR Statement and Privacy Policy.
