Your data, your control

You own your data. You can request it, download it, or delete it permanently—no questions asked. It's your right under GDPR.

What Gets Deleted When You Delete Your Account:

  • Your email address and password
  • All vehicle registration lookups and associated data
  • MOT and tax history
  • Timeline entries and service records
  • Reminders and notifications
  • Uploaded documents (Glovebox)
  • Subscription information
  • Usage analytics tied to your account

How to Delete Your Data & Account:

Request Your Data

Email support@motrcar.online with 'Data Request' in the subject line.

Delete Your Account

Go to More → Delete Account (at the bottom of the page).

Delete Your Documents

Before deleting your account, you can delete individual documents from Glovebox.

Permanent Deletion

After account deletion, we remove all your data from active systems.

Your GDPR Rights:

  • Right to Access: Get a copy of all your data within 30 days
  • Right to Deletion: Delete your account and all data permanently
  • Right to Portability: Export your data in a standard format
  • Right to Object: Opt out of analytics or notifications

Before You Delete:

  • Download your documents from Glovebox if you want to keep them
  • Note any important vehicle records
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • You'll need to create a new account to use MOTR again

Deletion Timeline:

Immediate

Account disabled, login access removed

1-7 days

Personal data purged from active systems

90 days

Backups purged, complete deletion
